I didn't make myself clear.
What I meant by that was, rather than "No - strike that!" I think I would have just deleted it...........
Trying to be funny in print sometimes causes me to fall flat on my face.
I did not mean that the post was out of line or that I felt it should have been deleted, by me or anybody else.
Oh dang it, I'll just shut up, I seem to be making it worse!
:D :D :D :D  :D :D :D :D

To get back to the subject of the thread:
Silver Threads Among The Gold
Most on this forum are probably too young to remember that song.
In factI'm almost to young to remember it!
Then there is:
Silver Threads and Golden Needles
Another old song but not nearly as old as the first one.

gpond, good one on golden parachute or sometimes called
a golden handshake.
more include..
all that glitters is gold
golden reputation
It is interesting to me how gold is used to descibe esentially 4 things...
Wealth - as in "His business in a gold mine", "struck gold"
Victory or Accomplishment - as in "gold medal", gold label, gold ribbon.
Honesty - as in "heart of gold", golden reputation, pure as gold
Period of greatness or happiness - as in "golden age", golden years, "golden oldies".
Gold and what it represents is part of our being - even the sheeple have it in them through the language they use - we just need to do a better job of educating them.
Please add more if you'd like!
