I know I risk sounding like a one trick pony here, but is it not amazing how a young Bob Dylan seemed so prophetic of today, some 40 years ahead of his time? I cannot resist the temptation to show the apparent 'wisdom' of some in the artistic profession to 'see for us'.

...Praise be to Nero's Neptune
The Titanic sails at dawn
And everybody's shouting
"Which Side Are You On?"
And Ezra Pound and T. S. Eliot
Fighting in the captain's tower
While calypso singers laugh at them
And fishermen hold flowers
Between the windows of the sea
Where lovely mermaids flow
And nobody has to think too much
About Desolation Row

Yes, I received your letter yesterday
(About the time the door knob broke)
When you asked how I was doing
Was that some kind of joke?
All these people that you mention
Yes, I know them, they're quite lame
I had to rearrange their faces
And give them all another name
Right now I can't read too good
Don't send me no more letters no
Not unless you mail them
From Desolation Row

--Bob Dylan, Desolation Row, from 1965
(born as Mr. Robert Zimmerman)

Note here:

Eliot has always taken care not to become a religious poet and often belittled the power of poetry as a religious force. His own significant contributions to poetry begin with his promulgation of Imagism, a movement in poetry which derived its technique from classical Chinese and Japanese poetry - stressing clarity, precision, and economy of language, and foregoing traditional rhyme and meter in order to, in Pound's words, "compose in the sequence of the musical phrase". He was from Saint Lewis, the "show me state."

Pound became involved in Fascist politics, and did not return to the United States until 1945, when he was arrested on charges of treason for broadcasting Fascist propaganda by radio to the United States during the Second World War.

These are the two 'captains' Dylan sees as fighting for control of the Titanic.

(an frugal composer of meaningful song vs. a known fascist sympathizer)

The ship sails at dawn, it is seen by Dylan as Nero's Neptune... the all powerful 'god' of the Ocean's waters.... currency (as in the god of the 'current's sea' -- as in flows of liquidity???) (perhaps even 'Neptune' is the so called 'Leviathan'???) Just wild speculation yes... but it is intriguing.
:dontknow::bandit:
And so perhaps to contemplate the so called 'scheme' that appears to many as the Federal Reserve System -- is as to sit upon Desolation Row and see the world from there seemingly alone... the real FR world AS IT IS... Now I will recede into my own darkness again -- on Desolation Row... thank you G-Kahn, thank you Bob.

I did not mean to distract from the thread here. With respect to G-Khan and all the 'sound' currency economists out there, excuse me please. Bob Dylan, HE made me do it...

Love Bob Dylan - good post...

I used to listen to Desolation Row and had no clue who Ezra Pound was - thought he was a poet and that was all. I did know of T. S. Elliot...

Thanks for bringing back some old memories ................

In addition to "Secrets...," other e-book gems and outstanding links regarding the Fed, monetary policy and the NWO have been posted here at GIM. Perhaps we should composed a "recommended reading" list for the membership?
