The following is a direct copy from Ron Paul's bulletin on MySpace. I thought it would be a good one to post here and get the word around a little more. You guys do the same.

Greetings Ron Paul supporters,

Many of you have already been getting the ball rolling by writing and publishing opinion pieces in your local newspapers about Ron Paul. The Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign Committee wants to thank you for all your efforts in writing thoughtful opinion pieces and for your perseverance in getting your pieces published.

In the past few days, we've noticed an upsurge in Ron Paul coverage from your local newspapers' opinion pages -- and it really brightens up our day to see Representative Ron Paul covered so widely across the country.

However, we know that we all can do a better job in getting Ron Paul covered in even more local & national newspapers' opinion pages. We especially need to inform the public about why Ron Paul is supported by Republican and Independent voters and why he is a serious candidate for the Republican nomination.

Here is a resource to help you with submitting and getting your letters and op-ed pieces published in the top 100 U.S. newspapersCommunications Consortium Media Center: Op-eds and Letters to the Editor. (http://www.ccmc.org/oped.htm)
This website contains useful information on writing a letter and provides a list of the top 100 newspapers and their submission requirements.

Please feel free to pass along this information to other Ron Paul supporters, and help get the publication process started in your area!

How do those work? If I submit one that meets the criteria does it defnitely get published, or does it pass some censor?

By sending a copy to 50 newspapers nationwide you are sure to get into a good chunk.

Well, I'd imagine that it would have to pass a censor of some sort. I also doubt that if a few hundred people did this for each local paper that every single one would be published. All the same, it's more ammunition to fire back at TPTB. I see no reason not to give it a shot.

Major daily newspapers receive hundreds of Letters to the Editor each week. They have to weed through them all and decide which ones to publish. Major papers have one or more people dedicated to this process. Responsible newspapers actually go out of their way to publish dissenting views and criticisms of their news coverage. I don't like Bill O'Reilly at all, but to get feedback published on his show, he stresses that you've got to be "pithy." Same applies to newspapers letters.

Smaller circulation local weekly papers receive much fewer letters, so if anyone can string together three or four coherent sentences, you've got a great shot at getting published in one of these papars.
