Politics does indeed make strange bed fellows. Maybe Ron Paul has a shot, because of George Bush. I mean, the one thing W has demonstrated is that you can have a complete incompetent idiot son and dysarthric moron in the oval office and the country will not implode. True, Bush has accelerated the bankrupting of our economy and gutting of our manufacturing base; however, most sheeple haven't even percieved this as such - they just sense that things are probably not not good under the hood. But, my point is, Bush in a bizarre way, has widened people's scope of who might be plausable as president. In the past, a guy like Paul was strictly a fringe candidate - not a real viable choice conventionally thinking. But today, in the aftermath of the Chimp presidency, how far fetched is a Ron Paul as president? After all, he's reasonable, intelligent, and can complete a sentence without stuttering and drooling on himself: "If Bush hasn't destroyed the country [overtly] what harm could a Ron Paul do?":bear_whistle:

My mother in law, a lifetime democrat, called me to ask if Ron Paul was a republican or not. She is impressed with what she hears about him.
