MSNBC ranks Ron Paul dead last as a republican candidate down 4 spots from 9 from last week. There justification for this? "Please do not email us anymore."

Whos is number 2? McCain:confused_m:??? Their justification for his single digits approval rating in every poll? "He was Ron Pauled."

This is the first counter offensive against Ron Paul. Assuming that he will be in the debate in New Hampshire, we will probably see particularly vicious attacks from the crossdresser and or Wolf Blitzer.

100% BS my friends.
The reality is that 99% of calls after the last debate into CSPAN were praising RP and spoke of nothing else. When will they realize that reality is going to take thier power on this one. The jig is up, although they did have a good run.

Well I am going to give in to the temptation. I cannot fight my masters anymore and do not have the will to keep trying. MSNBC has given me my front runner and I will now support him.

It's a long way to Nov. 7, 2008. Lots can happen between now and then. Let's try to pace ourselves and take the long view. Besides, in supporting Ron Paul we have nothing to lose - the Evil Empire is already in charge and we're on the outside. Win or lose, the more air time Ron Paul gets the more people are exposed to fresh points of view that threaten the corrupt status quo in Washington.

Wrong wrong wrong and you know it!

It is just the "Ron Paul Effect" and nothing but a conspiracy theory from the nutter nation. They have this strange apparatus that makes their vote count a million times. So see the whole conspiracy theory is simply one greasy dude wearing panty hose running a php script in his bathroom. Get with the program yoo!

I say let's send them so many it shuts down their e-mail server. Enough of this crap, it's time to take our country back!

These rankings are ordered by likelihood of winning the Republican primary and are based on a number of factors, including organization, money, buzz and polling.:censored: smells like bullshat to me.

I think this is going to backfire on them. The fact that they're asking people to stop emailing shows how much support Paul has. I sent an email to msnbc expressing my feelings about their attempts to shut him down, but I'm sure it will just be auto-directed into the trash folder.

Exactly!

Blatant lying such as this MSBS piece will have the opposite effect!

People will question why MSBS is resorting to such stunts in placeing Ron Paul on the back burner.

One thing we can do that will help to keep him at the top of Google search is to put the link to his web site into every sig line on every forum you post on.

http://www.ronpaul2008.com/

Just add it to your sig like I did.

this deserves a bump...this is blatant manipulation - you have to trust your gut here, Ron Paul is one of the top search subjects on the internet, Ahead of Obama on YouTube subscriptions....and things are only getting started. This is a huge development in US politics.

That's a good idea to put his website address in your sig. I'll update mine with it even though I don't post much.

I say we keep emailing MSNBC but don't actually say "Ron Paul" in the email since that is probably what their filters are looking for. Instead say the "congressman from Texas" or something obvious like that. They'll know what you're talking about.

Looks like they edited the page. It must have originally said more about Paul, then they changed it to say "Just please stop e-mailing us. Thanks."

I did a search for "Ron Paul" on MSNBC.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/?search=MSNBC&q=ron+paul&submit=Search&id=11881780&FORM=AE&os=0&gs=1&p=1

The "rankings" page showed up in the search quoted as saying:

White House 2008 rankings: The Republicans (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16711064/) (5/3/07)
9 . Ron Paul Texas congressman Last Ranking: -- The anti-war Republican stood out, and his answers were the talk of the spin room -- well, parts of it, anyway. Our problem: until he starts to take votes from someone else, we don't know ... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16711064/ (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16711064/)

Ok, taking votes? How do you measure who's taking votes except by polls, or actually waiting for the election? So, what do the polls say?

I'd guess they got alot of emails about that comment.
