Ron Paul is easy to sell, everyone wants more liberty.
...until the next terrorist attack - then the neo-cons will have the sheeple back to begging for more security, out of fear.
Don't be surprised if there is another terrorist attack, even bigger than 9/11, within the next 12 months.
Bush would love to extend his term in office by decalring martial law.

Dr. Paul is no pacifist, if there's an attack on his watch, he would support going after those responsible, but never a soverign nation that had nothing to do with it!

I know, but that's not my point.
My point is that right now, Ron Paul is being criticized for being "weak" on terrorism.
If there were to be another attack (under Bush's watch) those running against Paul are going to point their fingers and say, "see, we told ya so".
They will use the attack to say that Paul was wrong in wanting to bring home our troops and they will pound the notion that we need to "fight the terrorists abroad" into the heads of the American sheeple.

Nah. It would be further proof that :
a. Bush failed
b. Our intervention is causing the hatred, period.
But who knows, eh? Call it wishful thinking.
It seems that Bush is brutaizing people on their own land and then wonders why they're attacking him.

You are right crud, and most people on GIM recognize this.
But most Americans are too dumbed down by the MSM to know the truth. In their heightened state of fear, they will believe whatever the MSM spoon-feeds them.
Unfortunately, the MSM won't side with Ron Paul. Guilliani will capitalize on this as people will buy into his dna database and more intervention in the Middle East to take the war to them.
This country gave up the Republic a long, long time ago.
Welcome to the Orwelian Fascist Amerika.

I've had a chance to discuss Ron Paul over dinner with my COO and his wife; today I spoke to my supply rep, a hard core republican. We have a good personal relationship so I hit him a little hard, told him to wake up, that the republican party is a zombie, a ideologically bankrupt party thanks to the rapacious Neocons and Bushbots; the Iraq war is based on lies and motivated by greed, that we are responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of civilians, and that is why our name is mud in the world; however, there's no shame in a good republican admitting he was wrong to follow Bush et al. into the valley of death. But to continue this murderous charade, knowing what we know, is just plain stubborn and stupid. Ron Paul, I asserted, is the only candidate with the integrity, wisdom and vision worthy of the oval office. Elect any other candidate and rest assured, you will get more of the same: lies and more lies. He listened and promised to check out Ron Paul - I will followup.:bull-smile:

Does secondary exposure count? My father in law forwarded the speech to everyone he works with (he's a hard-core democrat and loved the speech) and according to him: "Ron Paul really impressed all us liberals!". Also, my wife talked to her brother and his fiance. So that's another 12 or so...

You only count the direct person-to-person contacts. In your case, your father and your wife qualify. But, the dissemination you are describing is exactly waht we are hoping for: a ripple effect as one informed person informs others, and the Ron Paul revolution spreads like a virus through the populace - democracy at it's best. Consider this: there are more eligible voters that don't vote than do - there exists a huge reservoir of potential Ron Paul supporters.
