Around 1 a.m. PDT. I'm in southern California -- it felt like it was some distance away, but it went on and on.

Vy mild out here (up the coast near Carpinteria), but it went so long that I started to feel queasy. That's when I noticed it -- seemed as if the book I was reading kept changing position a little, and that my balance was funky. Only then did I place my hands on the desk and confirm that it was moving.

I was driving around in the Claremont area in eastern L.A. County and felt nothing. Such is the suspension of a Toyota Tundra 4x4, I guess... :dontknow:

My wife jumped out of the bed screaming! Startled me half to death! I was way more scared by her panicing than by the earthquake.
