Seriously,
How do we start getting a Constitutional amendment drawn up and ratified to counter this horrible affront on our property rights??

You’re asking for an awful lot here, and I do wish I could help. On principal I stand with you, but clearly, at this point, it would be like standing-up against a rising tide. Even before this recent ruling many have argued that you don’t really own property in this country ( due too your annual property taxes ) but merely are an entrusted serf that will never be able to get out from under the contract that you’ve been entered into.

""Lost Liberty Hotel" Proposed on Justice Souter's Land
On Monday June 27, Freestar Media, LLC informed the Towne of Weare, New Hampshire that it wants to begin the permit process to build a hotel on the land owned by Justice David H. Souter. Justice Souter's vote in the "Kelo vs. City of New London" decision allows city governments to take land from one private owner and give it to another if the government will generate greater tax revenue or other economic benefits when the land is developed by the new owner. Read Freestar's fax to the City of Weare here. Read Freestar's press release here. If you want to help us move forward with this project click here. Please be aware that this is a real project and if we receive sufficent funds and approvals we will build a hotel."

To: U. S. Congress PETITION FOR REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES
We the People of the United States, do hereby demand that our duly elected representatives in both houses of Congress, initiate impeachment proceedings against the following Supreme Court Justices:
John Paul Stevens
Anthony Kennedy
David H. Souter
Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Stephen G. Breyer
We, the undersigned, consider the Supreme Court ruling in Kelo v. New London, 04-108, rendered June 23, 2005, not only unacceptable, but to be in criminal violation of the Justice's oaths to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
Be advised that We the People regard elected officials to be our public servants. Failure to take action against the Justices specified shall be considered support for the decision rendered in the aforementioned case, and will result in our resolve to ensure your defeat in the next election.
Being from myriad political and ideological spectra, we are united in our belief that our right to own property is inalienable.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned (http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?lp001)

Many States are now considering Constitutional Amendments to their State Constitutions to prevent local governments from doing this B.S. Here in Calfornia, one is being proposed, but I'm not sure it'll see the light of day thanks to our socialist legislature. Everyone must continue to bombard their senators and representatives and make sure that this issue doesn't go away.

Writing/calling/e-mailing your "elected" representatives is a complete waste of time, effort, and energy. They don't care about you at all, or give a rat's ass what you think about anything.
They will do what they're told to do by their masters among TPTB, or lose thier position. What you feel or how you "vote" doesn't matter to or affect them in the slightest.
