These should get anyone on their way to discovery...

Ah, these are my major interests. I am convinced and remain convinced that not only was there a confiscation of emerging energy technologies in the early 1900s by national governments, but there was also suppression of emerging energy technologies before and after World War II. Reasons?

1.) Monopoly by corporation: General Electric, Raytheon, Hughes Aircraft, British Petroleum, Exxon-Mobil, etc.
2.) "National Security interests": such as suppressing battery technology post-WWII so Russian submarines had a limited time underwater before coming up for air for their diesel engines.

If the world is a fantasic and unknowable place with lots of cheap energy, then there is little control of those energy sources. Once you limit the playing field to certain known sources and equations, it is far easier to control those known sources. As long as you "discourage" widening the playing field by inventors, universities, and other nations.

We've been using the same energy technology since the different types were first discovered in the early 1900s: oil combustion, boiling water for dynamos, solar, wind, cyrogenic superconductivity, acid batteries, etc. Where are the fantastic leaps we saw just before WWII with radio and TV, radio tubes to integrated circuits, propellers to jet rockets? Everything started to stagnate in the 1950s in the U.S. Our Patent Office is more concerned with maintaining the status quo rather than encouraging pure research to the applied stage.

Today, a grassroots movement to go back to the 1880s and the 1920s to take a second look at the fundamental research in energy technology with advanced testing and refinement is producing some results, but nothing comes out of the inventors' garages because of "the system" that is already in place.
