". . . clinically tested colloidal silver has been successfully used in African hospitals to treat malaria, cholera, AIDS, flu, MRSA (methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureaus), hepatitis, respiratory infections (pneumonia, bronchitis), tuberculosis, gonorrhea, sinus infections, food poisoning, vaginitis, staph and strep infections, thrush, burns, wounds, skin infections, diaper rash … and the list goes on and on."
For a commercial CS that, judging by the reports I've heard, is one of the better ones see: http://lifesilver.com/
I make my own using a Coyote Zenterprises Silver Puppy and have seen some dramatic results.
Needless to say, I have no commercial interest in either of these fine products.

Will post some great information from pharmacy experts when I get home late this afternoon...have to dig it up and don't have time now; have to get to work to trade my time and efforts for FRNs so I can in turn trade the FRNs for you know what.

Here's some good information...
COLLOIDAL SILVER
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Also Known As: Colloidal Silver Protein, Silver Protein.
<o:p></o:p>
People Use This For:<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Orally, colloidal silver is used to treat ear
infections, emphysema, bronchitis, fungal infections,
Lyme disease, Rosacea, sinus infections, stomach ulcers,
yeast infections, chronic fatigue syndrome, AIDS, and
tuberculosis. It is used orally for antibacterial
properties, for food poisoning, to promote rapid healing
and subdue inflammation, and to treat gum disease. It is
used to improve digestion, and to prevent flu and colds.
Colloidal silver is also used for allergies,
appendicitis, arthritis, blood parasites, bubonic
plague, cancer, cholera, colitis, cystitis,
conjunctivitis, atopic dermatitis (cradle cap),
diabetes, dysentery, eczema, gastritis, and gonorrhea.
Other uses include impetigo; hay fever; herpes; leprosy;
leukemia; lupus; lymphangitis; malaria; meningitis;
parasitic infections; pneumonia; pneumococci; psoriasis;
prostatitis; rhinitis; ringworm; scarlet fever; and
septic conditions of the eyes, ears, mouth, and throat.
It is also used for Salmonella, septicemia, shingles,
skin cancer, syphilis, tonsillitis, toxemia, trench
foot, viruses, warts, and yeast infections. Colloidal
silver is used during pregnancy to aid the baby's growth
and health as well as the mother's delivery and
recovery.
Topically, colloidal silver is used for acne, burns, eye
infections, fungal infections, throat infections, skin
infections, and Staphylococcus infections.
Safety: POSSIBLY SAFE ...when used orally in amounts found in
foods. Two liters of water meeting Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) standards can contain up to 200
mcg, plus a regular diet can contain 90 mcg more silver
(5525) for a total of 290 mcg. Total daily silver intake
should not exceed 14 mcg/kg/day (980 mcg/day for a 70 kg
person). It is likely that taking colloidal silver
supplements on top of regular dietary consumption would
increase silver intake to an unsafe level.
LIKELY UNSAFE ...when used orally or topically for
medicinal purposes. Total daily silver intake should not
exceed 14 mcg/kg/day (980 mcg/day for a 70 kg person).
Combining colloidal silver supplements with regular
dietary intake of silver would likely result in
exceeding this amount of silver. Silver accumulates in
the body and can lead to an irreversible bluish skin
discoloration known as argyria. Neurological deficits,
diffuse silver deposition in visceral organs, renal
damage, and metal flume fever can occur
(5525,5526,8148,8149,10647,10648,12092).
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION: POSSIBLY UNSAFE ...when used
orally. Epidemiological evidence links increased silver
levels to babies born with developmental anomalies of
the ear, face, and neck (5525).
Effectiveness: There is insufficient reliable information available
about the effectiveness of colloidal silver.
Mechanism of Action: Compounds that contain inorganic silver are germicidal.
Silver binds to the reactive groups of proteins, causing
denaturation and precipitation. Silver can also
inactivate enzymes by binding to sulfhydryl, amino,
carboxyl, phosphate, and imidazole groups. When
absorbed, silver is most concentrated in the skin,
liver, spleen, and adrenals with lesser amounts in the
muscle and brain. The half-life depends on the silver
salt used. Half-life can range from days to months.
Silver deposited in the skin has a much longer
half-life. Silver primarily leaves the body via fecal
elimination with active biliary excretion (5525).
Adverse Reactions: Orally or topically, colloidal silver can lead to an
irreversible bluish deposition of silver in the mucous
and skin membranes known as argyria
(5525,8148,8149,10647,10648,12092). Argyria typically
first appears in the gingiva with a slate-blue silver
line (5525). Toxicity may also present as blueish-gray
discoloration of the fingernails (8149,10648). Colloidal
silver can also stimulate melanin production in skin.
Areas exposed to the sun will become increasingly
discolored. Colloidal silver can also cause neurological
deficits, diffuse silver deposition in visceral organs,
renal damage, and metal flume fever (5525,8148,10647).
Interactions with Herbs & Supplements: None known.
Interactions with Drugs:
LEVOTHYROXINE (Synthroid, Levothroid, Levoxyl, and
others): Theoretically, levothyroxine might have reduced
absorption if given with colloidal silver.
PENICILLAMINE: Theoretically, drugs such as
penicillamine (Cuprimine) might have reduced absorption
if given with colloidal silver.
QUINOLONE ANTIBIOTICS: Theoretically, quinolones such as
ciprofloxacin (Cipro), norfloxacin (Noroxin), ofloxacin
and others might have reduced absorption if given with
colloidal silver.
TETRACYCLINE ANTIBIOTICS: Theoretically, drugs such as
tetracycline might have reduced absorption if given with
colloidal silver.
Interactions with Foods: None known.
Interactions with Lab Tests: None known.
Interactions with Diseases or Conditions: None known.
Dosage/Administration: No typical dosage.
Comments: There are many Internet ads for the components of a
generator to produce colloidal silver at home. Those who
produce colloidal silver at home will likely have no
means to assay the product to assure any standard
potency. There are many products that are far safer and
more effective than colloidal silver. Silver has no
known physiological function and is not an essential
mineral supplement, contrary to promoters' claims.

Here's some good information...
I'd hardly call this "good." It starts out well enough but then moves into scare tactics including the old "argyria" ploy. There have been a few cases of argyria but they occurred only in people who were NOT using correctly made CS.
Fools can always find a way of harming themselves. And anyone who accepts the words of most of these 'eggsperts' as representing anything other than a desire to produce yet another jargon-filled paper that will help them keep their jobs has a serious problem. Who do you think funds these guys? Who do you think pays their salary?

Anyone can make a basic no-frills generator if they know a bit about basic electronics. But if you want something with current control and automatic shut-off there are a few good commercial units available. They may seem a little pricey but they're safe and not just sellling a couple of batteries in a plastic box. Check out:

http://www.silvergen.com/colloidal_silver_generator.htm
There is also a Yahoo group devoted to Colloidal Silver at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/colloidalsilver2/
Lots of good first-hand accounts here about how to make a generator, how to make good CS, how folks are using it to cure all kinds of illnesses, some of them very serious, etc.
Good luck!

Ha! :haha:
I second Skyvike on this. If I had listened to the characters you seem so impressed by I would have been dead long ago. Please run a search on IATROGENIC DISEASE. And try to rid yourself of the myth of the white-coated scientific savior because there's no such thing. It's a myth.
There are decent honest concerned folks out here with first-hand experience of many real cures who can tell you the real truth. You'll find lots of them at the CS group I mentioned.
These are people who do not have a financial interest in what they advise. They have good hearts and are concerned only with trying to help their fellow men.

"readily accepted" By whom?
"highly credible" According to whom?
Personally, I don't care what pharmacists and doctors consider credible because I don't consider pharmacists and doctors to be credible!
Very nice! I love this!

Much of the bad rap CS gets is due to poorly made CS. The understanding of CS and brewing process has been greatly improved, even over the last few years. While it is certainly possible to make your own high quality generator, you need to be SURE you understand the process. If not, then make the investment in either a Silverpuppy of Silvergen SG6. It may seem like a lot of money up front, but either of these generators will produce perfect CS, and the process is foolproof.

If you look at my post #7 above you'll find links to the others. I think the Silver Puppy is the best buy, but lots of people like the Colloid Master. It is a good one.

I don't think the Colloid Master has a stirrer feature. Stirring is very important and does make a big difference. The SilverPuppy offers a stirrer option and the Silvergen SG-6 includes a stirrer. If you buy a CS generator without a stirrer, you will need to buy a magnetic stirrer. This can cost you some additional big bucks. As far as I know ( and I belong to several CS groups ) the two most hightly recommended CS generators out there are the Silverpuppy and the SG-6. In fact, you almost never hear of any other brands anymore. These two have the market cornered.

I think the Colloid Master people claim that using their method stirring isn't required. Silver Puppy includes either a thermal or magnetic stirrer. I'm using a cheap coffee-cup warmer as a thermal stirrer and it works great. When the weather warms up I'll probably switch back to the magnetic stirrer that came with the Silver Puppy.

If you buy a CS generator without a stirrer, you will need to buy a magnetic stirrer. This can cost you some additional big bucks.
Not only can magnetic stirrers be costly, but they also spin too fast. They are designed for lab work and not for making CS. The Silver Puppy magnetic stirrer has been optimized for making CS and spins slowly at a rate of 30 RPM:
