I don't think "we" will invade, per say. I think Isreal will do, as in Iraq and the US will be close by, looking from a distance. Depending, how things go [& I think they will go from bad to worse]:puke: , the US will also send planes in. Don't see any ground troops, in the first "stage". Later, things will get very nasty.

Demand will not be met until the price is high enough to curtail use, so at what price per gallon do Americans stop driving as much?

My guess $8-$10 a gallon, and that is probably conservative

Is it really 3/10? I went to a website and it suggested the new moon will be on 3/29.

If it is the end of March, then that would coincide with the 'two week theory' MarketNeutral suggests.

For me I just find it hard to make a prediction of something so great happening because it would guarrentee such a terrible economic consequence and series of military responses from Iran that will be so severe and serious that it easily could spark a genuine World War III.

But, it does sound like a convergence point is the second half of March; this could be a giant shoe that we were waiting to fall. So, while I am still not convinced that they are going to attack Iran this Spring, if now is to be the time I would guess either the week of the 19th or 26th (assuming at New Moon being the 29th, I would vote getting everything in place by Monday the 26th).

I had not thought about it till it was posted, but as long as most oil is priced in dollars, very high oil price supports the dollar. If Iran only goes to Euros, sending oil over $100 might give the dollar another year or 2. Non oil producers have to hold dollars for oil trade. Now if Russia, Norway, and Venezuela start taking payment not in dollars, attacking Iran and spiking oil won't help long at all. Plus, most of the world is harmed by the blank check of the petrodollar and high oil, and the neocons have succeeded in their Straussian plan to intimidate the planet. The US is seen as a rabid dog loose at the city park. So if we do nuke Iran, I expect mass dollar dumping as the only possible defense.

It is the arrogance of the neocons that I am sorry to say I think most Americans will pay for the rest of our lives. Even a very rich, armed to the teeth, and cruel beyond imagining 5% cannot do just anything to 95% forever with impunity. They will find some way to protect their families.
