Any word on WaMu or anyone else? I haven't seen anything on GIM, about a bank going under or being bought out this weekend, which scares me. Any word on anything?

Who knows what protocol will be after the bail out plan. The FDIC, might be out of the loup, the feds may just give them a blank check take the bad debt, give them some back on their feet money and we'll never hear a word about it.

It feels like the eve of The Depression. All the banks will fall in the next few days. May God have mercy on our souls.

I doubt seriously that any of the big banks will fail at this point, given that congress approves the new and improved RTC.

Once the banks are able to put all of their bad debt on the public's balance sheet, why would they fail??????

So what will happen here? Are they just going to not tell us when they add debt? Or will the news/internet be like, WaMu moved all its bad debt of XXX to the huge fund, and everything is alright.
