Does the USDX really matter? I mean, what difference does it make how many pieces of another worthless fiat currency a FRN can buy? When other currencies 'fall', the dollar 'rises' by comparison. The purchasing power of all fiat 'money' is falling and is subject to manipulation.
In my opinion, the USDX is a confidence game. F*ck with the euro to distract from the dying dollar.
This is why it is wise to have REAL DOLLARS... morgans, peace, etc.

Never.....
Agree. Never.
In order for the USD to get that low, it means the other fiat currencies would have to be really good. They aren't.

I think it will drop below .60. The currencies that comprise the dollar index could very well lose much purchasing power and dramatically fall in value, but if the dollar falls even harder, then sub-.60 is certainly possible.
The dollar index is still over-rated no matter how you slice it.
