Marriott Hotel has now become a ghost house which was yesterday the most beautiful and prestigious hotels in the Islamabad. While the condemnation of the blasts and the deaths and the loss of property is going on from all the quarters, some intriguing news is also pouring in.

After the blast, mysteriously fire was started at the fourth and fifth floors. It was said that this fire was the result of gas pipeline burst running through the hotel. The million dollar question is that was the gas pipeline not running through the other floors? Why the fire broke out from the fourth and fifth flours? That is the question which perhaps holds the key to the mystery as why the hotel was targeted yesterday, in which more than 60 people died including many foreigners.

Though it would never get confirmed but the fire on the fifth and fourth floor of the hotel broke out because those flours were housing the mysterious steel boxes under the heavy guard of United States marines and no one including the Pakistani security forces and the security men of the hotel were allowed to go near with the them. These boxes were shifted inside the hotel when the Admiral Mike Mullen met Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and others in Islamabad.

It is said that one member of parliament Mumtaz Alam who belongs to the PPP, the ruling party was there eye witnessed the whole scene when the white truck of US embassy came to the gate of Marriot Hotel and US marines themselves unloaded the steel boxes from the trucks and shifted them to the fourth and fifth floors without passing through them the scanners at the entrance of the hotels. When the truck was there, all the entrance and the exit passage way to the hotels were closed.

And now this blast has occurred at the Marriott, while that mysterious activity was going on.







And this attack comes just after the new president said this, referring to US raids in Pakistani territory - "We will not tolerate the violation of our sovereignty and territorial integrity by any power in the name of combating terrorism."

Several senior officers of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) who are reported to be currently visiting Islamabad were the target of the blast at the Marriott Hotel which took place here tonight.

Well placed sources said that Marriott Hotel is usual hotel choice of the US officials and it seems that militants tipped off that certain high level US intelligence officers were currently staying at the hotel.

While no confirmation was available but Pakistan sources said it was clear that the explosion was aimed at specific targets based on a tip off.




So the CIA was actually there staying in that hotel. Thats rich.

Wasnt it about a week ago that the Pakistani army said they would fire at and kill "US invaders"? And then there was the incident where the Pakistanis fired at two Chinooks entering Pakistans airspace, Chinooks turned back, and then US and Pakistans military denied it, but the people on the ground contradicted them completely?

So in order to get Paki on board and justify our military presence in the Paki-Afghan border region they stage a false flag and blame Al-Qeada?

Im not much in to conspiracies but this one does smell funny given the info above regarding the US Marines in that Marriot.

That's really interesting as the Marriot in Isalamabad is very difficult to get in to, due to security. Seems difficult to get a bomb in there, at least when I was there, which wasn't too long ago. Hummm, something doesn't add up. That's shame, it's a great hotel. One of the only few places o get Alcohol in the whole damn country. Fond memories there.

Ok that makes sense, The Gates of the Marriot in Islamabad are small, you could easily storm it and If I can remember the guards don't have guns. Can't remember! Anyway , the gates are easy to bust wide open. I loved that Marriot, only place in town for Whiskey , pool, dancing, gym, and a little nookie, if you know what you're doing.

I knew something was askance when they released the video of the truck exploding. The truck was still at the security gate when it burst into flames and exploded. Security guards could be seen scattering within feet of the truck after the blast. Obviously this blast could not have impacted the building. Are we to believe that this was only a primary blast? If there were more explosives on the truck, why weren't they ignited when the primary blast occurred? And if this was just a primary blast, why didn't they release any videos of the secondary blast that presumably caused all of the damage?

I smelled FF immediately.

Note to Percival- If you can conceive of this incident being a FF, I don't know how you can be so resolute in your views that 9/11 wasn't. Cui bono?

The owner of the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad has denied that Pakistan's top leaders had been due to dine there before Saturday's huge bomb attack.

He was responding to comments by interior ministry chief Rehman Malik.
Mr Malik said the president, prime minister and military chiefs were going to eat there but changed venue at the last minute.

I have never said 9-11 wasnt. There is some evidence to support the idea it may have been a FF event. What I have taken issue with are those who put all their energy in to trying to prove it was a controlled demolition. I have seen no evidence to support such.

Pakistan was quite upset last week when we breached their airspace during a bombing mission aimed at the Paki-Afghan border region where we claim the Taliban and AQ are holed up.

It could have been one of numerous intelligence agences. It may have even been the Pakistani ISI (created by the British). It's interesting how the ISI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inter-Services_Intelligence) is a reversal of SIS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_Intelligence_Service).

I dont know who was behind it, I try and not speculate too much. All I am saying is that the US had pissed off Pakistan last week during a bombing mission of the Paki-Afghan border region, where AQ is believed to be holed up, when US aircraft breached Paki airspace, then suddenly there is an attack in Pakistan blamed on AQ and Pakistan is put in to the position of supporting the US bombing of that region. The attack certainly doesnt benefit AQ since Pakistan was actually against US bombing of that region prior to the attack, but the attack certainly does benefit the US since now Pakistan believes it is under attack by the very terrorists the US was out to get in the beginning.

Sorry to have mis-characterized your viewpoint. But if you do believe it may have been FF, don't you think it was a little risky for them to rely upon the planes alone to bring down the towers? Especially since the towers were designed to withstand an impact from 737 jets.

The driver of the truck bomb was unable to breach security. The guards opened fire on him and he detonated his own device, which failed to immediately detonate the IED in the back of the truck. What you see in the video is only the cab of the truck being blown up. The subsequent truckload bomb detonation a couple of minutes later took out the video camera, so there's no video of that.

If the video camera was taken out, how did we end up with the images of the initial blast?
