I have a friend who caught a cold (probably from me :clap2:) and he says he is taking CS (along with vitamins, etc.) to help get rid of it. He says it helps.

Whenever I get a cold, which is rarely, if I can't keep it out of my chest I sometimes end up with a lingering cough. Another friend of mine who is fairly knowledgeable about medicine says that the lungs can be tough to clear after a cold because of the nice moist environment they present to various microbes.

Has anyone had experience with inhaling CS using an inhaler, nebulizer, or even a simple nasal spray bottle, to take the CS into the lungs directly where it might do some good, rather than swallowing it, which would happen eventually anyway as the clearing system in the bronchi move it to the throat?

Thanks in advance for any input.

I bought a couple of good misters from a pharmacy, they make a finer mist than the household cleaner sprayers. I just inhale while spraying and use it for sinuses too whenever I feel something like a cold sneaking up on me. I haven't tried it during a bad respiratory infection yet so I don't know how effective it is.
