Hello everyone. I'm new to this colloidal silver stuff. However, one thing that perplexes me is how to figure out if I made this stuff correctly, what ppm I have and also I've read that you use a siphon to get the water in the middle. Could someone enlighten me? I'm using this design (link below), which uses a 9v ac to dc converter for the silver wires and a fish tank oxygenator to stir the water.
Is this design ok? Some other sites say that you need 30v or more with 4 9v batteries? I'd rather not have to have the hassle of battery replacing, unless they last a while. I've looked at the pics on another site with the laser pen to rough idea the ppm. It makes no sense to me. What is the correct way to measure this stuff? Is there a device to test the solution that I could buy?
Also I read that using the proper distilled water is a must. Any recommendations? All I've found is the distilled water at Wal Mart in plastic jugs.
I just want to make this stuff properly, that's all. Sorry for so many questions.
Here's a link to the device I made.

Hello everyone. I'm new to this colloidal silver stuff. However, one thing that perplexes me is how to figure out if I made this stuff correctly. . . .

Welcome to GIM, and glad to hear you've discovered CS!

You'll find answers to your questions if you read some of the earlier posts. Check out these threads:

http://goldismoney.info/forums/t29939-why-colloidal-silver-makes-sense.html

1. DISTILLED WATER is essential and the supermarket stuff is probably OK. NEVER use tap water and NEVER add anything such as salt, etc..

2. Silver Puppy sell an excellent ppm meter, the HM_DIGITAL COM 100. You can use it to test the waters available to you to find the one with the lowest ppm.

3. Your setup looks to be basically OK except it looks as if you're going to need a current-limiting diode. Check out the Yahoo CS group link. They're real experts, very friendly and helpful, and can provide all the information and advice you'll need:

4. Your CS should look like water or maybe have a slight yellowish tinge. If it doesn't you've done something wrong and should toss it out.

Good luck!
