I've heard very good things about Salt Pipes. Although a Neti Pot is my cup of tea, Salt Pipes sound as if they might be worth a try by anyone suffering from a sinus complaint. Here's a snip from one site that supplies them:

Salt inhalation was recommended by Hippocrates by using the age-old method to heat a salt solution to obtain steam and inhale it to the body. The main effects of salt on bronchial system are summarized as follow:

1. stimulate secretion
2. loosen and help eliminate viscous secretions
3. inhibit inflammation
4. reduce irritation causing cough
5. clean the mucous membrane of the kinocilium
6. contract (bronchoconstriction) or extend (dilation) the respiratory duct

I have done a saline flush, using this large plastic hypodermic, with a rubber spout.

Really cleans out the sinuses

not familiar with the one you list here, never heard of it or tried it.

A Salt Pipe is quite an interesting contraption and not what you might think.

For a regular saline flush I think a neti pot might be safer:
