Definitely against the Geneva Convention to publish these photos.

However, we did not always follow "the rules of war" when we were in-country either.

We were just seldom caught 'cause we were not blatant about it.

The hypocrisy of this is that the Afghani captives in Cuba were shown shackled, gagged with bags over their heads, etc.

Is this not a violation of the Geneva Convention?????

The rule of law must be followed by all sides. Of course the press will pick up on this hypocrisy at some point I would guess.

Sickening to listen to those who led us to this blather on while troops are held captive and treated in a way that our leadership has shown the world to be acceptable.

You reap what you sow, unfortunately "leaders" rarely pay the price us peasants do.

Furthermore, this isn't a War......this is an illegitimate unauthorized military action designed to loot and plunder a countries wealth to support a currency and financial system.

Neither the UN, the Iraqis or the Congress have declared war that I am aware of. In the absence of a declaration of war, how can the Geneva Convention be invoked?

Have you ever heard of the Sykes-Picot Agreement: 1916?

Very interesting in relation to the recent invasion!

Interesting? Yes, especially since I did not see anywhere in the agreement that the Arabs agreed to any of it. This was just the division of spoils from previous encounters.

NOTE:

That France and great Britain are prepared to recognize and protect an independent Arab states or a confederation of Arab states (a) and (b) marked on the annexed map, under the suzerainty of an Arab chief. That in area (a) France, and in area (b) great Britain, shall have priority of right of ENTERPRISE and local LOANS.

The Islamic/Muslim movement is an attempt to break away into sovereign independent states and nations. After WWI & WWII upon the breakup of the Ottoman Empire, the western powers installed puppet regimes into the newly formed states to control the ENTERPRISE and LOANS.

The Muslims are seeking a break from the spoils.....this of course does not sit well with TPTB. Hence, the Iraqi invasion and threats to all of the ME countries......

Have you noticed that the Sykes-Picot Agreement has not been mentioned at all in the media? The only person to mention this agreement thus far has been Usama bin Laden! The illegitimate installed puppets, dictators, and monarchies of the ME don't dare to speak of this agreement for fear of losing their positions of wealth and power.

I suspect TPTB do not want this agreement to become common knowledge. The masses would most likely agree that the time has come to give the ME nations their freedom and sovereignty.

This remainds me of the movie Dune!

Was this in line with the Geneva Convention?
Just curious.

The distinction seems to be an "unlawful combatant" does not have the Geneva convention applied. At least, that's the distinction.

BarnacleBob,
There is excellent book concerning the Sykes-Picot Agreement.
