Is there a certain kind of yogurt that has been discussed to replace useful bacteria in the stomach after using CS?

I believe I've seen the answer elsewhere, but can't recall it. I know it would be a yogurt with "active cultures", but is there anything more specific I should look for beyond that?

Thx

In Europe we have different kind of yoghurt for that application. My sweetheart knows almost everything about these questions, so I just report what she yelled at me. Look for yoghurt with following cultures:
Acidophilus, Bulgaricus, Bifidum, Sc. Thermophilus

And you also can buy capsules with different useful cultures. Name of these:
Trenev Trio

(Trenev Trio Capsules- Lactobacillus acidophilus NAS super strain
Bifidobacterium bifidum Malyoth super strain
Lactobacillus bulgaricus LB-51 champion transient super strain)

Take care !

ThxThere seems to be controversy on this issue - I have found some that say it leaves the good bacteria in your lower intestine alone.. Yes if you do ever need to replace it make sure it has acidopholis in it when you get your yogurt and make sure it is the live yogurt which most brands are not.. Thats what Irish told me in a post...

I purchased a product in the past called "Natures Healthy Trinity" The capsules contained billions of active bacteria, of 4 or 5 types. It camed shipped Fedex, with a cold pack in the box. Very expensive product, about $1.25 per daily dose. I don't think I've ever seen yogurt that didn't contain acidophilus. I do look for the ones with more types of active bacteria though.

Yoplait has active yogurt cultures, the kind being recommended here - if you are looking for a brand.

I know that here in the Baltimore/DC area that the supermarket chains carry Acidophilus milk, which of course has lactobacillus acidophilus cultures. As far as yogurt goes, I'd recommend good ole Dannon that you have to stir with the fruit on the bottom. It's a national brand that's as basic as a yogurt can be.
