Most, if not all of you have heard those few lines that go: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, The strength to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference"
It took me a long time to get in my thick skull that there are some very annoying things in life - many of them brought up from time to time on the internet in discussion groups (if they survive long enough to be read), that many would love to change, but find their attempts frustrated.
I still find this difficult to accept and have to sit myself down at my keyboard and get it down, and out of my system, before I self-delete. (See, how I spare you)
If we are not careful, we can waste so much time bringing up examples of these frustrations that seem to be coming more overt with each day, taunting us with their contempt for our senses - especially our sense of justice, and fair play. They assail our reasoning, and treat us like imbeciles at the worst, or morons at the best.
So while, like boiling water must be able to release its steam, so, if we can't find someway to cool it, must our blood.
However, we must keep it in perspective. We must not let our frustrations freeze us from accepting, and using the system, otherwise great opportunities can be lost.
Yes, I get pi**ed off with what I see is really happening, and how the forces aligned against us use subterfuge, lies, deceit, and media, to brain wash us into accepting what ever story they care to present to hide their insidious, manipulating, activities
in order to gain advantage.
But I am not going to let it cloud my mind with the stupefying gasses of frustrated hopelessness in dreaming up thoughts that I can change it. Life is too short. A man whom they say lived 2000 years ago, and was the actual son of God (it is said), tried, and paid with His life for the attempt. Since then, there have been others, lesser men I know, who have tried, failed, and paid the ultimate price.
I believe now, in spite of everything, there is opportunity all around. Our real world is from within us, not without. We cannot change many things from without, but we can change all from within - it merely takes a decision - a decision for a change of mindset.
A positive, open mind, free from clutter, alert to changing patterns, is the one to develop in one's pursuit of happiness.
I once observed a blade of grass, and even a small flower (or was it a weed?) push itself up through a concrete path. There are many other little examples that tell us that our Creator, wants life to go on. I read the other day that life in the form of some tiny worms which share our genetic make up (so if some girl ever, refers to you as a worm - she could not be far out) had survived that shuttle crash in Texas.
The financial markets, and the internet, provide a wonderful opportunity, undreamed of a short while ago, for anyone to grow wealth, and have fun doing it. Of course its a casino, but you are not wiped out at the throw of a dice, or spin of a wheel, or at the end of one race.
You can also apply your own skill at determining the outcome, and you get a chance to pull out before all is lost, or stick in for a rerun.
You are going to make some errors in the early stages, and later ones if you don't learn from your early ones. Is it not worth applying some time and effort for some serious study?
Stop being too negative. By that I mean, don't let that be your focus that it creates fear and timidity. Recognise, 'hype' its all around you, don't get over excited, keep calm and collected, in that way your mind is relaxed and open to opportunity, and change (two things that go hand in hand).
Yes, the people who are running our countries are a bunch of crooks (and that is putting it VERY mildly). No, we can't change it. Why? Because the way things are set up now, the options presented to us at election time, are arranged so that they win whichever we choose. Don't tell me you haven't noticed.
They have eyes, some in the form of hidden cameras, spies in the sky, chip implants in our brain, you name it, carrying out surveillance around the clock, Computers record all our intimate personal details - we would be really shocked if we knew the information that some of these computers hold, and who is doing the monitoring.
Oh! There are good people in government, or they were when they set out, but they either never reach a position of real influence, or they see which side their bread is buttered on, and the way the system works (and who works it), then change.
The financial markets will survive, because they are run by crooks. The markets don't create money, they can only redistribute what is put in. If you put your money in to acquire a commodity that is rising in value based on economic principles, then you can later sell that commodity at a profit. But the commodity market did not make the money, it merely afforded you the opportunity to trade - to buy and sell something, or the right to it. Therefore, you should never lose sight of the fundamentals of the underlying commodity.
If it is the stock market, then the share you buy should be in a company that is going to make a profit that will increase its (the company's) value, and the share should be at a price commensurate with that value.
The crooks come in to their own because they know that there are many people whose only measurement of how they place their money is on the principle of the 'greater fool' theory. They just hope, and gamble, that there is another fool prepared to pay a higher price than they did, irrespective of basic fundamentals, before the music stops and there is no chair left to sit on.
You can still make money using the latter system providing you observe there are enough fools out there still with enough money to play the game, and you keep your eye on there being no change in the conditions that would diminish that supply of fools and their money. You see, there is a different set of 'fundamentals' for playing this game.
With this wonderful internet, and the information contained and provided, providing you can detect fact from fancy, you have a wonderful aid for playing this casino.
The crowd has NEVER won, and NEVER will. But some people, in the crowd do. Because they use the system, understand it (no false illusions), and don't fight it.
The charts will tell you past and present action. Apply Newton's first law of motion (as described in my last editorial) to give you some idea of, at least, short term future trend. And keep your senses open for changes that will affect the long term.
Use the large companies within a group to give you some indication of the general health. Watch their charts. Big serious money flows into (or out of) these companies by those who indulge in serious research, so the work is done for you.
You only need to know the basics of charting, and there is lots of help on the internet
even at this site, if you only seek it. Ask questions, there are guys only too willing to help.
Just remember, the markets are here to stay, they will survive, the 'crooks' have a vested interest in their survival. In order to survive you can't have everyone losing, they have to keep you coming back to the table, and there has to be money coming in, it does not create its own.
Get rid of the false illusions, you may have had, learn good survival tactics, don't get frustrated by hoping or trying to change that which you cannot, go with the flow, stay happy and positive. Crisis spells OPPORTUNITY, and
BON CHANCE! may the force be with you.
