Medicinal Silver Goes Mainstream

<TABLE width="90%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD><!--msg-->Yesterday at OSCO I picked up a box of Curad Silver bandages. The front panel of the package says “Silver Natural Antibacterial,” “Silver in the Pad,”, “Laboratory testing showed that silver in the dressing reduced bacterial growth (Staph, aureus, E. coli, E. hirae, and P. aeruginosa) for 24 hours.” This last quote did not have asterisks leading to the usual disclaimer that “…this statement has not been evaluated by the FDA…” The side panel lists silver as the active ingredient. I'm having great fun showing this to the scientists and engineers I work with that have always told me that Colloidal Silver will cause heavy metal poisoning. My usual reply has been that I have been drinking about half a cup of Colloidal Silver every day for years and have remained very healthy. But the surprised look on their faces when I show them the box of the Curad Silver bandages is priceless.

This is nothing new, silver has been used in burn dressings for quite some time.

Drinking concoctions containing flecks of gold have apparently been found to cause possible kidney or liver damage, I'd be wary of that. Something completely in solution is unlikely to hurt you though, as the body will flush it out. Silver and gold as far as I'm aware do not concentrate themselves in the body like say lead, perhaps someone with more medical knowledge can educate us.

The only thing I might say about collodial silver is it might damage both helpful and harmful micro-organisms indiscriminately if ingested, but then again so do quite a number of regular anti-biotics.

Bob, I now have the laboratory reports showing ASAP does not harm the good bacteria. You could put this report's availability out to the members of your boards and it should generate some responce and probable business.I am sure Mary Lou Burmeister would like a copy.
Also you might consider buying 200 bottles @ $6.oo per bottle. You are already set up as a distributor. You might get Brian to go half with you ,since he needs product for that upcoming show.We will discuss it .I can drop the report off at The Coast.
