OK, ill bite. An alternative would be that as the US economy get stronger, the Treasury will enjoy increased tax revenues, thus they will borrow less and perhaps even pay down some debt. Also, the Fed would be in a better position to increase interest rates as the economy can take the stress of higher rates. This is what Kudlow, little miss, "KING DOLLAR" says. But so do alot of other economists. And a higher Fed rate supports the dollar, as a lower rate weakens the dollar. All that said, the strength of the USD has less and less to do with the price of PM's. I think my "paradigm shift" in investor attitudes twords PM's is starting to take hold. My paradigm shift works like this: All the "rich old guys" with millions sitting on the sidelines (their cash is invested in MM funds) start to redeem their MM funds. They then invest some of the redemption proceeds in metals, as that is what Paulson, Tudor Jones, Eihorn, pension funds, and the world central banks (including india's recent purchase of 200 tons from the IMF) are doing. The metals are now on the radar for these rich old guys as well. And they own a fair amount of the 4 trillion currently invested in MM funds. Except many still want to be in cash. At the same time, they see MM funds yielding close to zero. So they think, eureka, metals are the same as "cash". Why not shift some MM cash into the PM space, seeing as how MM funds AND metals = cash...

You're joking I hope! The commercial RE Market in my state is getting crushed right now and the bubble has just started to burst. The residential market had a little temporary spike due to an unsustainable first time buyer program that will just put more bad paper on the books. If they bring it back it will only temporarily re-inflate the housing bubble. The country is financially broke. The smoke and mirrors aren't working. Most Americans know this now, at least the ones with any smarts. This is reflected in the consumer confidence polls. Here read it yourself.. "Just 10 Percent of Americans Rate the Economy Positively" "News/Washington Post poll last week, a resounding 82 percent reported – based on their experience and despite what economists have said – the recession is not over. " http://abcnews.go.com/PollingUnit/ab...ory?id=8925847 Even the store bought media can't hide the facts! Buffett is trying the only thing he can to save his wealth, which is to try to convince fools that everything is hunky-dory. Meanwhile you can bet your sweet bippy that he's also hedged to the max. Don't worry about poor old Warren he'll be just fine no matter what. It's the middle class that going to take it in the shorts! |

CNI pays $10 over spot for Krugs. I think it helps if everybody piles on me. I want to sell another 5 tomorrow am, so keep it coming. I want $1100/Oz.

I don't know why you have such a bad attitude about everything. It's like you have a chip on your shoulder for some reason.
If you trust that the government can turn things around without causing any more problems and fixing the ones that exist, that is your opinion and I respect it. I wholeheartedly disagree that they can accomplish that, but I respect your opinion. You just don't need to be a jerk delivering your seemingly weekly updates about your purchases, sales, and your misguided opinion about the direction of the U.S. economy.

Hey Goldbuyer123,
I just wanted to say, "THANK YOU" for your sale of 5-oz and taking a 'hit' for the team. I don't care what anyone says about your market analysis, the dramatic rise in SILVER was a huge success !!! ![]()

I can't understand why people care about this thread.
This guy is a nobody, who cares whether he sells or not? If you have fundamental reasons for buying no tiddly-wink poster with half-assed claims based on fiat currency and government numbers will convince you. It's not like he's offered any PROOF of claims after all... |

I can understand wanting to sell at an all time high. The only thing I don't understand is selling and buying physical. Why not play with GLD or the other ETF?
MHO - Buy physical for the stash. Play the paper game with the paper.

Reading this reminds me of reading Yahoo message board for stocks. There is always 2 or 3 saying they "just bought 90,000 shares at 13.50", lots of make believe going on. Most likely from young kids who just opened up a scottrade account with 500 bucks. Oh well....it makes for something to read. The bright side is I finally found a quote after all these years...

Actually , if you need the money and bought in heavy, sub-$1,000, it is an excellent time to sell. I bought more gold and silver this year than I intended. With the idea that if I did need the cash, I could just liquidate a little bit of the stash. Have found out that it is alot easier in theory. I do not want to part, simply because....gold is expensive and going up even more.
