Default Well, we made it, so what about the Webbots?

What happened to all of the dire predictions that would befall us from October 26th to November 5th.

Anybody care to comment?

Really as many dire predictions that are out there ,,,,,
It's a wonder any one can walk down the street without constantly looking over ones shoulder ,,,, taking panic actions instead of living .

Being vigilant is neccessary in these

Interesting times.

But counting days from one of many

End of the World

predictions will give a sound man a nervouse break down

How many cartoons characters have we seen in news papers and other over the decades with the sign in his(her) hand reading

The end is near

I decided to give them until Thanksgiving. What they claim to be doing is an imperfect science. If nothing MAJOR happens by then I will ignore their future warnings.

Nothing burned down. There was no Banking Holiday. No stock market crash. It looks like everything is still standing.

What does that mean?........................It means that the webbots were an EPIC FAIL.

Fear SELLS ! I've listened to other 'fear mongors' on Coast to Coast radio and figured that most, if not all, were selling either their books or newsletters.

I'm beginning to view the Webbots in the same light. Let me get this right; they use internet linquestics to predict the future or something to that effect? Much like religion, once they scare the crap out of you they then have a captive audience, who they hope will subsribe to their newsletter and items posted on their website.

I will grant them this, their urbansurvival website is chock full of information albeit it's slanted in a negative light in reference to our economy and the fate of the world. Maybe they're 100% right, or maybe only 80% or ???

I check on their urbansurvival website occassionly and find they seem to reference Matt Drudges' links often and comment on same. I find their take on the economy, world and natioanl events interesting as they are extremely bright and informative.

Their scariest imo prediction is that Israel will bomb Iranian nuclear sites thereby causing a plutoniam cloud to rise from the rubble and encircle the earth. Seems like a plausable scenario given the events in that region of the world.

No doubt we are living in what seems to be a bizzaro world and almost anything could happen. Much like arguments about God, religion, politics and predictions; your guess is as good as mine.

I don't know about 11-5 or the dummm webbots, but I am looking at times from 11-11-09 and on. Another interesting day is 11-9-09. Depending on order or writing it, it could be 9-11-09 (9 November 09).

I am watching for major international summit/ agreement to happen this month. Whatever Obama endorses or says we need, it will be very evil.

Default I don't think you guys were listening

I would suggest that several things have happened that should cause you to be concerned about any digital holdings you have as well as your job. First of all, gold crossed $1100 and closed at another record high. India bought the IMF gold and Japan is continuing to give the US the finger. These things are all dollar negative.

In fact, in case you didn't notice, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are both needing more money and the FHA needs a bailout. In addition to that, the Seattle FHLB is under-capitalized, usually when that happens to a bank it is shut down if it can't raise capital. The same is soon to happen with other FHLB's. CIT isn't going to be able to continue to provide money to it's customers and in fact is going to have to contract it's credit lines under reorganization. The manipulated employment number is at 10.2% and rising.

The dollar is on life support and so if you can't see how bad things are then you are blind. I think the webbots have actually done a pretty decent job of projecting how things will be. If you folks think everything is fine and getting better then you aren't paying attention.

If you think that we can continue indefinitely without a collapse, you are also mistaken. We are closer to collapse every day. When your job goes away, you will probably be singing a different tune.

I really doubt that would be a true doomsday scenario. The number of known nuclear test detonations is above 2,000. This includes quite a few atmospheric tests, where radioactive plumes drifted all over the place.

Well we had the high in the DOW of the bear market rally at the 27th and the Obama declaration of national emergency the 25th... A few months later we will see how these things have played out... So far nothing chrystal clear though... I am leaning towards calling it BS...

I never said "everything is fine", Hell I KNOW it's not...However, it amuses me silly when people chisel these dates in stone like Armageddon can be pinpointed....It cannot.

And all of the things you pointed out above are daily blips on the news that always happen webbots or not.... I KNEW someone would try to equate something tiny like Fanny needing more money or gold inching forward as some sort of monumental event that tied in with the Webbots predictions.

Webbots predicted something massive and overpowering that would leave the world on the edge of their seats....It didn't start in late October and it didn't end on November 5th like the handwringers on here just knew it would because the "bots said so" and because "the webbots have done a pretty decent job"....I have seen little that they HAVE been right on...Of course, that's neatly forgotten when the next set of predictions comes out.

And by the way....If my career path goes bye-bye, then this country is beyond TSHTF..

I trim my trees every 2 year. And every time my wife thinks I went to far, that I killed the tree. The tree comes back bigger and fuller each time.

Likewise, our economy is being trimmed of some awful excesses.

Do you still have power, does water flow from your faucet, can you go out and buy milk, meat and vegetable, go see a movie and have a nice steak dinner? If so then you probably need a stiff drink and a day out in the sun and fresh air.

Relax dude.

Look at all the GIMbots coming up with lame excuses and shotguned events. Sorry, that stuff is happening regularly. When something like the webbots predicted actually occurs you won't have to make up a "death knell" soup, we'll know. And look for it to happen at a time when the websnots didn't predict.

According to many here Andy, that would qualify as one of the little things that goes into the soup of major predictions. Go figure. I'll never understand people and their defense of their gods and guru's.
