Is cobfirmation that new agricutural technique?:D:D

Ya, it came through today. It was quite a relief. I have zerotrust in the integrity of the system so I'll be very happy to close the loop and get the metal.

No more playing for delivery for me on the comex. I think it is getting too risky. However, I will still play a position in paper for cash. When you define your risk in these leveraged markets and you ensure your own ability to stay solvent through any volatility, there is money to be taken off the table as long as the major trend remains up. I actually consider it fairly mild risk(don't want to say low, as "rules can change".) as long as the trend remains up.

But, to be prudent, especially in this criminal business arena, it is essential to take money off the table, and then redeploy a percentage for more gains. I just don't have the faith in the system to allow someone else to be a custodian of my digital wealth. And then buy what you want outright, in hand. Of the comex or across the counter, difference to me.:D

Keep this thread tucked away and hit it if you hear of any delivery issues in the future. Rest assured we'll be back very soon......:D

Thanks.

Default CONGRATS ARE IN ORDER, BB! re: COMEX delivery?

BB, it seems to yours truly, it is all in one's perspective. It sounds too harsh to me for any allegations of "criminal business arena" references to COMEX SILVER, when this has come to fruition as contractually promised.

Today is the last day of March 2008 for MARCH 2008 delivery, and the COMEX delivered the promised March 2008 COMEX Warehouse Receipt.

A case could be made that the COMEX delivery occured as British Sovereign stated it would, when offering words of encouragement. A contract is obviously held sacred still in COMEX since no force majeuer was declared in your contract by the exchange, yes?

If one may ask, would you mind sharing with this thread before it gets tucked away as you suggest, what warehouse your physical is located in. I was in hopes someone would return with the current list of acceptable COMEX silver warehouses.

As far as I can tell, only HSBC has been mentioned.

Congrats on your bouncing baby silver bars. Will there be a naming ceremony or any cigars for us? How about photographs? :D

I do think that Twisted Avatar deserves 2, as he almost had a nervous breakdown while pacing the halls of birthing suite wing in your shadow. And maybe your broker will get an extra Cuban as well?

Again, Glad it came to pass as promised and you now have your silver stash under your contractual control!

Thanks for the hillarious post. LMAO.

As for my allegations that the comex and the rest of North American business is a criminal area, I make no apologies for. Crooks to the end. When a mobster does what he says he is going to do, it doesn''t make him virtuous.

A list of approved warehouses is available on the Nymex web site.

Cheers

The only reason why Im soooooooo spooked about any delivery delay is because I had dreams about the stuff ....... "silver lockup" about a year and half ago and to now see some of this stuff happening is a quite a bit unnerving to say the least ......because I am having the same fellings again but this time I put it the first quarter of 09 but that dosent mean very nasty stuff can not happen now.

You know me ....

I am not about the details..... I am about the big picture ........and I KNOW WITH A DOUBT IN MY MIND THE COMEX IS GOING TO DEFAULT ON ITS OBLIGATIONS WITHIN THE NEXT 4 YEARS OR LESS ...

if you ask for details I wont be able to give many...... It is just that I belive my gut before I belive anything else...

BB I am REALLY glad to got your stuff and that would be a wise stratergy to employ: Make paper profits and book a certain amount into physical silver.
that way if you "loose" you only have a paper loss as you still hold real metal..( like how real gamblers do).

This was a great thread!!

gonna go in delivery room and "cut the cord now":bull-buddy-icon:

BB,
Yours truly is a "North American Business" owner, and I'm no criminal. So, it is offensive to me to be classified as such by your wide caustic paintbrush.

So glad to have provided you a LYAO moment.

About your 5 girl quints? Where's my Cuban?????

As am I. More than once over as a matter of fact. Ironically, just because the two of us are presumably honest, to call the NA business arena the same would be to paint them with an undeserved anti-caustic paintbrush. Get it?
The events taking place Wall St. are proof enought of the smoke and mirror accountability game going on.

As you said in one of your above posts......it is a matter of perspective.

I'm not lumping you in with anybody, you are doing that to yourself.

Please take no offense, none intended.

BTW, the LMAO moment had to do with your description of TA pacing the floors. That is funny. TA is very passionate about what is going on. I hope you don't think it was directed at your general comment.

I want to thank everyone who has responded in this thread. There is a ton of great information here to learn from!

I have another question that relates to the type of silver that comes in a COMEX delivery:

Why are "1,000 oz" bars not exactly 1,000 troy ounces?

And if you were to buy one, would you pay for 1,000 ounces, or the specific number of ounces in the bar?

Yes this was a very cool thread. Thanks to all.

I think the 1000's are poured into a fairly rough mold. The ones I have seen have the oz's stamped into the bar and this will match the oz's on the warehouse reciept. You pay for what you get, it is adjusted for in the final total.

+1 On that ......

1000 's are are also known as "odd weight bars"...for the reasons that BB just metioned (rough mold) so you could have more or less depending on the specific pour.that is why if you try to cash in a COMEX bar the dealer will allway make a big stink about and want a STEEP DISCOUNT ....cause they HAVE to assay the bar ...they risk is too great that they may have been tampered with .... when I get I bar ...It will be just for "chest thumping "reasons

Just as teaser I thought comex bars where the biggest that are minted that is not the case I just found out companies can get bars that weigh up 425 POUNDS EACH!!....

The reason why I know that is because there was a thread around here that was talking about how KODAK has had its first theft of property in history of the company(100 plus years) if was a 425lb bar.... ( it would make sense beause if the business they do)

I was just amazed ......

before silver explodes to the sky .....I am gonna get one of the babies...maybe use it as a massive anchor weight for my yatch!!!

BellevueBilly, I was hoping you might pop back up with some pix of your 5 bouncing baby silver bars??? Or did you decide to leave them in the warehouse against future buy/sells on the COMEX large silver contract?

If the latter, would you mind sharing with this thread the ongoing costs and amounts thereof, you are currently accruing due to leaving said bars in COMEX warehouse?

It is the belief of yours truly that this data might help complete the factual details which emerged on this thread you began.

I did not keep them at the warehouse, but if I had, storage would have been about $300/yr.

Btw, Saiorse started this thread. I was just a participant.:D

Thanks for remembering!

I'm really glad I could kick off such an interesting thread and I hope everyone has enjoyed it and learned from it as much as I have.

Thank you to everyone who has participated! This is truly a fascinating topic.

Now, back to business:

I would suppose that the procedures for buying and receiving delivery of COMEX gold and for COMEX silver are the same, no?

300 dollars eh?

That is what some people are going to have pay to find out when the rubber meets the road.. the warehouse recepit is just a bird cage liner.

That is going to be the most EXPENSIVE 300 dollars that has ever been spent by some.

The will will found out what the really bought with it ......A PROMISE.

BellevueBully,

Would you further enlighten the thread as to:
* if you personally went to pick up your 5 bars?
* where was your delivery point?
* what forms of ID were YOU required to present?
* were you given the choice of "paper or plastic?"

Sorry for dropping off the face of the earth on this one Mr. Steak....no offense intented.

Anyhow........Yes I did a pick up myself. As the bars were originally in NY and I am in Ontario, I endorsed the warehouse reciept to Kitco who also has room in the same vault in NY. Once they recieved it in their system, they just replaced them out of there Montreal office. Saves the hassle of crossing the border. Shipping insurance would have been 2k vs $200 for gas. Prov. licence for id and canvas for carry out.

Now for Uncle Twister......

These were actually really nice bars......the one has a funny drippy spot the side, kinda makes it look like a paint drip. Good camo. You can leave it in the garage and no one knows what the hell it is...hahaha.

Can't wait till a more favourable ratio, trade for gold, save the back.....
