US WILL LOSE THE IRAQ WAR

Thorn in the side of the American administration, and former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter, has warned that America will lose the Iraq war and the American military: "will leave Iraq with its tail between its legs."

In an interview with Irish radio, Mr. Ritter said that the conflict would become an "absolute quagmire," and the US-UK advance would stall outside Bhagdad and fail to capture the city.

"We find ourselves... facing a nation of 23 million, with armed elements numbering around 7 million --who are concentrated at urban areas. We will not win this fight. America will loose this war," said Mr. Ritter.

According to Mr. Ritter, too many in the Pentagon have listened to: "the blithering of Iraqi expatriates," whose agenda coincides with neo-conservatives in the White House.

Bagdad population 5 million. Coalition forces less than 300,000

If one in five Bagdad residents fight, that 1 million fighters or a 3:1 ratio. Next add in the fact the Iraqis are the defenders with a defensive advantage of 3:1. The coalition also requires supply lines that exceed 250 miles. The resupply convoys are sitting ducks for ambush by small companies of fighters.

Ritter has some very valid points.........

Scott is a pretty sharp guy.
However, I think he is wrong on this one.
TPTB know the American public will not accept another Viet Nam.
They also know that we will not look kindly on mounting troop losses.
Somehow, someway, someone is going to allow bio or chem weapons to show up on the battlefield.
At that point, The US will use tactical nukes on Bagdad as they have already warned they would do.
The word will be "Better the Bagdad women and children, than our fighting men."
