I am a democrat at heart and would have no problem voting for him if i think he can make it. |

They realize he is getting exposure and that will make him go up in the Gallup poll etc. They are trying their best to make people think he has no chance and therefore isn't worth supporting (either actively or passively...like it or not people will even choose a lesser evil in the Gallup poll than "throw their vote away" on someone with no chance). We need to continue to make our support and presence known. Youtube/myspace/online polls are good but we need to move into the real world as well. Bumper stickers everywhere. Protests in front of news stations that twist his message etc. etc. |

This could be the biggest obstacle to Paul getting past the primaries. Only registered republicans can vote in the primaries. It might be tough for some but all those democrats out there need to switch over before january to make this thing happen. Would be the biggest influx of members into the republican party ever..

They are saying that Ron Paul is "low in the polls". What polls are they talking about??
Ron Paul is leading in most, if not all, of the polls that I have seen! Is this just another example of lies torthcoming from the MSM? CNN makes me sick. They are getting more emails, this "reporter" in particular. I want them to respond with exactly which polls Ron Paul is low in (only 1% of the vote was his exact assessment). |

Ron Paul needs to do well in the gallop poll and quickly...some secondary & tertiary polls have excluded him since he hasnt passed the 1% threshold. Gallop represents the bottleneck the MSM will try to focus on. Gallop includes just 1100 households supposedly selected at random so is ripe for manipulation.
Ron Paul has to do well in the first primary - at least be in the top 3 if he's to do this as a republican. |

Ron Paul is leagues ahead of any other member of Congress that I have heard, intellectually, rhetorically, and most importantly, ideologically. He is a true republican and a constitutional scholar and the only candidate qualified to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America."
Ron Paul must be our next president, if there is any hope of saving what is left of the once great and noble American republic. There is no fundamental difference between the democrats and republicans: they are all factotums of the corporatist-elitist cabal that has purchased our congressman and senators with all manner of perks, junkets, kickbacks and outright guarantees of huge paydays when they leave office. Does anyone here seriously believe that Bill Clinton is getting paid $100,000 per speech, regurtitating the same rhetoric he did as sitting president, because of his charisma and charm? It's called quid pro quo after the fact, and it is the de reguer way of conducting lobbying in Washington. We the people are getting sold out, our jobs outsourced, our infrastructure auctioned off like the family silver, and our futures mortgaged, so that congressmen and senators can enrich themselves and join the elite club of the superwealthy. If you don't think Ron Paul has not already been tempted with generous offers to 'play ball' and 'join the winning team' in exchange for wealth and power, then you don't understand Washington. Ron Paul is a great man because he puts his country and his fellow citizens before himself, because he puts the rule of law before political sway. He is the embodiment of the last flickering light of honorable and trustworthy leadership in Washington, a true public servant. If he fails, this republic is truly defunct; because no sane man would dare try after him.

Anthony Wile just wrote an fantastic essay about Ron Paul and the mass media blackout at the Free Market Network: http://www.freemarketnews.com/Analys...ntyp=EMA#16999 Please check it out. I think if everyone here left a positive feedback and mentioned Ron Paul that it would send a powerful message to FRNN readers. Please take a few minutes to do this. I wrote a lengthy reponse under my pen name: Swantar S. Mamboni. I was rather rough on Giuliani (the crossdressing opportunist fraud) and Bush - I hope the editors accept it! ![]()

This is what I posted as feedback to the excellent Anthony Wile article on Ron Paul and the Internet Storm at http://www.freemarketnews.com/Analys...ntyp=EMA#17026 :
BY: Swantar Skakamonas Mamboni Thank you for an excellent essay Mr. Wile. I used to be a republican and member of the RNC. I have quit both years ago. It is astounding to witness the callousness and corruption in Washington and obvious collusion of the mainstream media. Only one candidate, Ron Paul, is speaking the truth - the others aren't even close. Guiliani et al. are beholden to their masters and must stick to the official version for the sheeple. If I hear one more 9/11 rah rah rally cry I think I will puke. I lived in NY at the time of 9/11 and lost friends that day and let [me] just say that Rudolph Guiliani is a fraud. Guiliani, Romney, McCain and the rest of the republicats are empty suited liars and frauds. The political deafness (or is the arrogance of entitlement to power?)of the republicans is remarkable: they have chosen to ignore the will of the people and persist in this illegal lost war in Iraq, despite the people's demand to get out and bring our sons and daughters home. That the Iraqis might hate us because our sanctions caused over 100,000 dead Iraqi civilians prior to 9/11 is considered "absurd" by Guiliani! Well, the facts support Ron Paul and show Guiliani to be at best a foreign policy knave and at worst a callous liar. But we stay in Iraq, and spill more blood and treasure for only two reasons, Mr. Bush: 1. To ensure that the multinational oil companies get the exclusive on Iraqi oil production and distribution in perpetuity. 2. To keep the war money flowing [to] Halliburten et al., the subcontractors that are feasting at the public trough at the expense of the American taxpayer while the latter struggles to pay for increasingly expensive gas and food with increasingly devalued dollars - it is beyond despiccable. Our nation is being fiscally raped by Bush and the Neocons with the complicity of the politically impotent democrat congress. We can stop the madness in Washington. I urge all readers here to mobilize friends and neighbors, to support Ron Paul for president. He is our last gasp, last hope for freedom, and last chance for the people to take back this country and OUR government from the corporatist-fascists who have purchased it right under our proverbial noses and now control it! I gave $100 to Ron Paul's campaign - he is putting his life and career on the line for freedom, for our children, for the fragile future of this once great republic. He needs you now, not tommorrow. Please give what you can ... but give something. The people can take this country back for but a few dollars a man or woman: http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ GO RON GO!!!!!

The reason the mainstream media polls show him at 1-2% is because the polls are asked in a completely unfair fashion. Only three candidates' names are read (Benito, Mormon Mitt, and McAmnesty). Then on top of this, they include Fred Thompson (CFR member and former McCain supporter by the way) and Gingrich, neither being declared candidates!
The rest of the candidates will only receive poll votes if the caller specifically says their names. Moreover, Ron Paul's support will come from independent and unlikely voters, groups that never are included in these polls. All of the evidence indicates that Ron Paul has the most fervent support despite having almost no media exposure and limited name recognition. By the way, anytime I see that thug Guiliani, I just have the urge to smash the screen. I mean, he LOOKS completely like a total fascist Big Brother! Let us not forget, he wanted to remain in office past his term as mayor... |

I hope by union you mean FEDERAL and not NORTHERN. Even Lincoln confesses in his correspondence that the war was not about freeing slaves, but instead it was about preserving the FEDERAL union. The CW was a war of FEDERAL aggression.
