Default GIM Ron Paul Contribution Pledge Thread

I know that some of those on this thread with the ability probably have already done so however I think those who have been procrastinating (such as me) should act now. Ron Paul has gained more attention than I think any of us could have predicted and as a result, the powers that be are attempting to stamp him out of the process. They know that he is the most amiable of any of the Republican candidates by far and is the only one who can defeat the Democratic nominee.

I am hereby pledging an initial contribution of $250 by the end of this week. As soon as classes are over at Columbia (six weeks to go) and I can resume work, my goal is to hit the max contribution amount by year's end. I am also emailing the campaign for information on how individuals can assist in the actual process.

Alex Jones pledged $1000 a few weeks ago- he probably is close to hitting the federal limit. We have to build on this momentum and create a snowball that if stopped will show the world just what kind of tyrants actually run things.

Edit: Transaction complete.

You guys are way ahead of me. I've donated $50 twice now. Car insurance payments are seriously taking a bite out of my available funds.

On the other hand I've got three Ron Paul bumper stickers on order.

I wanted to give a symbolic $20.08 with each of my paychecks, but their site does not allow you to enter that amount for some reason.

I sent $25 yesterday -- my first political contribution ever.

Btw, has anyone considered donating one or two silver rounds to his campaign, which it could convert to FRNs at its convenience? It would be a novel way of contributing that might attract some media attention on him and the issue of "real money."

That's a neat idea. I'm still waiting for a reply to my email whether they'll take a money order.

I think the federal limit is around $4,500/individual. I'm not sure if this limit is per calendar year, or per campaign. I would think it is probably the latter.

Right now all you would have to do is sell 350 ounces of silver or 7 ounces of gold to max your contribution.

I see that is says they must "report contributions of over $200...", but does anyone know what happens if you send the cash without sending along the contribution form? Can they not use the money if it is not traceable for reporting purposes?

Remember, you have to be a registred republican to vote in the primaries. That's the main hurdle is just getting him past the primaries. If you arent a registered republican you need to do so asap. Most states have a limit as to how long you have to have been registered before you can vote. So do it now!

That's a brilliant idea dood.

Of course, Dr. Paul would have to parlay it into NOOZ, IE put together a clever GooTube clip where he's... oh I dunno, I'd have to think about it, but off hand, he's showing some of the traditional Au/Ag coins he's received from supporters, and talking about how this is Constitutional Money... Weaved into the clip would be clips of Dr. Paul grilling Greenspan/Bernanke, and dropping Fed Truth bombs in the debates.

That would be parlayed into banners and bumper stickers and yard signs somehow; forcing the MSM to cover the phenom in some form just to preserve their credibility.

Only $2665 (+$1500 of bumper stickers :-))?

That's not really a whole lot. Ron needs money as well as votes in polls.

Everybody should be prepared to give $100 now and expect to give at least another $250 later in the campaign.

Not that it should make a difference because we are donating from principle, but every single one of us here will directly benefit far more than this if the gold standard is restored.

I am saddled with pretty intense multivariable calculus in my Micro class and as such am pretty busy for the next six weeks. But, once things open up, I think I will make a website urging people to be a part of the new 'Spartans' who stood up to tyranny even when the odds were completely against them.

If just 5 000 of us give Ron Paul's campaign the maximum individual contribution of $2 300, he will have over $11 million. I am not going to ask anything that I would not do and as such I am sending $2 050 as soon as I get a check from Scottrade this week (this week I gave $250). So, we just need 4 999 out there to be inspired and do the same. If we let our country slide into the hands of Hilary, we will not have to worry about counting our money because she will do the honor herself.

With all of their models of actuarial analysis, trying to determine exactly what tactics to use to ensure maximum chance of success for the police state, they failed to account for the dynamic human spirit that once unleased will never be constrained by the temporal desires of this Earth. As Tom Petty put it, we know what is right and we got just one life and we need to stand our ground NOW.

Excellent idea! With a challenge like that I'm sure you'll draw out many people that would otherwise contribute much less.

Picked up 200 bumper stickers, 10 yard signs, and use large Ron Paul address labels on the back side of all my outgoing mail.

I wonder if GIM or another group could organize giving 2300 American Eagle Silver dollars?

I hereby pledge to deliver ONE NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY VOTER

Oh. Guess what? I already did that this morning.

How much is that worth in dollars?

Let's see some of you match THAT ONE! :call:

Yesterday he said "Ron who?" and today he's sending me articles. Job well done, I think.

I hereby pledge to do my best to DO IT AGAIN! :call:

And my NH friends who still want to vote for someone else I will ask the small favor of replying "Ron Paul" to any pollsters that ring their doors. Dunno if that will work, but it helps to have a Plan B. Unless you are the Decider. Then you don't need one.

Money is good. Voters are better!

Oh yeah, I'll send him some dough. Just not sure yet how much.

I sent in $10 bucks before the last debate. At that point it was more symbalic than anything... besides his campaign being able to add "one more real donating person" to their list of supporters is worth more than 10 frn's anyway.

Uptil now I've never donated to a campaign. I plan on donating 40 bucks to round me out at 50 before the next debate.
