i'd just like to add that this meet up idea is absolutely fantastic.

Ron Paul does not need much more help on the internet since he is already dominating it. but these meet ups will result in a Real Life organization of passionate, like-minded people prepared to do what they can to spread the truth and support Ron Paul's campaign.

At this moment, there are 102 meetup groups for Ron Paul. The next closest number of meetup groups is 65 for Obama. There are 28 for Hillary, 2 for Mccain and none for Rudy. This shows the phenomenal grass roots support that Ron Paul has. There's no way that mainstream media will be able to stifle the awareness of this huge tide for long.

If you ever watch Fox News, they always talk about a "grass roots campaign" usually always in reference to a "major candidate," and when a candidate ACTUALLY has a grassroots campaign (Ron Paul), they ignore him! The group numbers speak for themselves... the internet "hype" over the polls was one thing, to beat every supposed "major candidate" with OFFLINE meetup groups truly tells a story, does it not?

Ron Paul is now #1 with 113 and I plan to talk to my neighbor and set one up here... See what happens and how many show up...

Have you ever wondered why a corporation can enlist the help of government, all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States, to inflict eminent domain for a CORPORATE purpose, and not a PUBLIC purpose? This too is wrong. Our Justice system is broken. We need to institute term limits on Justices, and their legal opinions must be based on constitutional laws, and not their interpretations of it to the current environment. For instance, the Constitution states that a person should be secure in their home and in their possessions........and slowly but surely, successive administrations have been working to penetrate this veil of safety.

Have you ever wondered why you send taxes to the Federal Government, for items that are not Federal Jurisdiction such as Health and Human Services, or Education, or Transport such as roads, and then the Feds decide how to apportion it and to which areas? How can this be? Your taxes, should be used to support your state and local roads and educational systems. We need to bring back the rights of the States.

Have you ever wondered how it came to be that the Federal Government is the behemoth that it currently is? How the Constitution allowed for very specific purpose and a specific role to be played, and yet, power has been slowly migrating to the Feds? This is against Constitutional Law.

Do you understand that the country known as the United States of America is bankrupt, in totality? That there is no funding for Social Security? That the funds paid in have been spent, every nickel of it? That there is no funding for the future, there is no retirement surplus, that there is nothing but a bunch of IOU's in place? And that these IOU's are bonds issued by the Federal Government, which are only good if they can pay? That they are only good to pay, IF, and this is a mighty big IF, other persons are willing to buy these bonds, be it other countries, individuals, corporations, or other entities?

Do you understand that the National Guard was created to defend the lands of the United States, and NOT to be used in overseas wars, police actions, or effectively as pawns of the government? Do you also understand that these people were NOT hired to take action against the citizens of the United States as they did during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina?

Do you understand that the Armed Forces of the United States were NOT meant to be standing armies in countries spanning the globe? That it is NOT our job to provide for the security of a independent nation? For instance, we still have bases in Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc, etc. By doing so, we give them a competitive edge over our producers, as they do not have the costs of defending themselves to contend with?

Do you understand that we are running out of time? That there is such a thing as a Kondratieff Cycle, and that this cycle demands that after the expansion, comes the real pain? That nothing is as it appears, and that sooner or later the piper must be paid, but paid he will?

Do you understand that Ron Paul is the first person to come along in many years, that even resembles a politician of honor?

Do you understand that if you think your congressman is doing a good job, that YOU are the problem?

I just got home from my first meetup and it was great! There were about 20 people there. One guy brought his son whom he is home schooling. We stood at several red lights along one of Houston busiest streets and waved flags, passed out flyers, bumper stickers, and small copies of the constitution.

I wont say everyone was thrilled to see us, but all and all we got a good reception from most folks.

It was interesting to hear people ask :"what party is he with?" only to look back in disgust when you would tell them the republican party.....But when you then followed with: "he is not your typical republican, he is against the war, and wants to abolish the IRS...." well you could see their faces change.

This was a great experience and I can't wait for the next meeting. If anyone out there is wondering if they should join a meet up group in your area, I want to say I highly suggest you to give it a try.


I don't think the organizers caught it on video, although strangers did video us and I expect some of it will make it to youtube.....

If I can find any video or pics....I will post them later on this thread.

Had dinner with scorpio tonight and I had Salmon and he had a salad and some toast.. hehehehe

It was great to see the nasty old bear again.. He has started a meetup in his area and I am still working on a place to meet.. and will soon start one also. He said we are very close to getting our dies for the coins we are making..

I wanted to bump this thread and to mention all the new meetup groups starting.. When I signed up there were 104 meetings scheduled and now we are at 156... This tells me more about the support than just about anything. People are getting together and organizing.. Ron Paul is blowing away all the others and you can see it HERE

I attended a Meet Up in northern New Jersey today (for about a month I am up in the North again for summer classes at Columbia) and was pleased with the folks. Young people, one who used to support Obama. One man was less productive in that he refused to change his registration to Republican in order to vote for Ron Paul in the primary (NJ requires such) AND said 'you have to accept defeat so we have to plan what we will do when Ron Paul does not get the nomination' (told him I am in this to win period).

Stayed back with the younger people and found out they were all AJ listeners. We agreed that we have to keep the conspiracy discussion completely separate from the campaign. AJ must do this too. Any slip on Tuesday and the media will use it to 86 Ron Paul. Ron is one of us, it is a matter of do we want to win or be right back were we started. So I sincerely hope those of you energized for 911 truth will realize that wearing that Loose Change shirt at a Ron Paul rally will not help...put that tee away and break out your American flag or solid polo.

I have never been more confident that we can win this thing. We have to remain focused and on target and we will see victory.

@KingTheoden Great to see you taking action...... I agree 9/11 should stay out of the Ron Paul campaign - no one knows for sure what happened and if Paul somehow makes it we may have a chance to find out then..
