The version linked above, to appear in the Journal of Engineering Mechanics (ASCE), was revised and extended (with Yong Zhou on September 22 and additional appendices on September 28) since the original text of September 13, which was immediately posted at various civil engineering web sites, e.g. University of Illinios. It also has been or soon will be published in a number of other journals, including Archives of Applied Mechanics, Studi i Ricerche, and SIAM News:

Z. P. Bazant and Y. Zhou, "Why Did the World Trade Center Collapse?", Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics News, vol. 34, No. 8 (October, 2001).

That means it's not just a document, book, web site or calculation on a forum. It's had to pass critical review by other engineering Professors.

I know there are CT sites which attack this paper but not one person has yet to disprove it's hypothesis professionally. There are still people attacking the theory of evolution. Anyone can attack, not many can produce a paper to back it up. Just as there is no "Theory of intelligent design" except in christian web sites there are no alternatives to this paper other than in CT sites and books.

"Typical" implies that it happens frequently enough to be categorized as such. Seeing as no steel frame structure has ever collapsed by this suppossed concocted "pancake theory", how the hell can it be described as "typical"? I realize I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to high level math. But then, I think that most who have degrees are educated way beyond their intelligence, specially in our Federally controlled education environment.

Really, all I need to know is when there is smoke, there is fire. So far, all the smoke is being blown up are arses by the government version. Halo, this paper was published in the Journal of Engineering Mechanics ASCE, 9/13/01. Thats just 2 days after September 11. Zdenek P. Bazant did not have access to the site or any more information then the collapse videos show on TV. I actually use this study of an example of shoddy science and journals controlled by the international banking conspiracy. It is also a good example of media brainwashing as this paper has become the pancake theory the media repeated multiple times. The paper is rubbish, how do you actually get a paper based on TV videos published in a respected Journal in just two days?? Yes it is evidence of a larger conspiracy and control of scientific development, similar to the cancer conspiracy for example.

This paper is much like the amazing passport, part of the cover story.

Anyways Halo, you have stated that the molten metal and hot slag found up to 6 weeks after the event was caused by frictional heating when the building collapsed, it is clear therefore that you obviously have no common sense or just like to BS and troll. The problem is with every post it just becomes clearer and clearer that you are a total moron.
