Holographic crap on coins

I saw that in Canada they made some coins with some hlographic stuff on it, which are more rare (they make less of them). Personally, I don't know why adding plastic to gold doesn't make its value go down. It's completely silly. But still, they put some plastic on gold to make the price rise!

If I get them the same price as the normal Maple, and if they are more rare (they produce less), are they a better buy because they are more rare??
